There are many accounts or bookkeeping programs available, all claiming to do the same job. How do you choose?
The secret is to find one that suits you; one that speaks in language you can understand. If you are an accountant you'll prefer a program that talks about debit and credit entries, nominal accounts, double-entry. Ask an accountant for advice and that's the type they'll recommend.
With ABC we've made it look simpler on screen -- no accountancy jargon -- and in the background the computer can take care of the double-entry and VAT separation, and deciding if an entry is to be debited or credited. "Easy as ABC" was our aim in designing the program.
The only real way to check if you like a program is to try it out for a week or two on your own PC. That's why we offer you a free Trial of ABC Accounts. It is a proper working copy that comes complete with some dummy data so you can immediately try entering invoices, printing statements, etc.
The User Manual is also available, but even better is the Guided Tour leaflet that takes you step by step through a few things you are likely to want to do in your business.
* Trial copy of ABC is fully working but time-limited. Any data you enter into the Trial version will be retained if you purchase and install the latest ABC.
paperwork
Although you want to get on with running your business, there is that annoying paperwork to take care of. (we still call it "paperwork" even though these days we can just about work without paper by emailing invoice and statements for example).
